Remember Now, O Israel! Remember Now Your Past! (Womansong Version)

Written for piano and SSAA choir.

This was originally written as a hymn and is based on the many scriptures pleading with
Israel to welcome strangers, since they were once strangers.

I adapted the hymn for a four-part women’s group. I was led to write the hymn because of all of the racism, hatred and anti-immigrant sentiment that seized our beloved country shortly after our first African-American president was elected.
