This is a beautiful adaptation of an old tune frequently used in the Roman Catholic Church during mass or holy communion. These new words make it appropriate throughout the year but particularly during the advent season. Because there are unison sections for both men and women, it is an easy number which can be used as a call to worship, a very brief anthem, or a congregational hymn. The simple accompaniment should be easily played by any pianist or organist.
